Our lab was not successful. We had the right idea, but it did not work out. Our man “Bob” could not keep the majority of his head above water. If we had put more foam insulation under his head and neck, his whole head would have been able stay up. The foam insulation would have added more volume to his head, helping it to float. The life jacket causes the density of the man to lower and the volume to increase. The life jacket added the volume to Bob causing his head to float. Overall the lab was not successful, but we were close!
